Here's what patients say about Life in Balance's facility, front office staff, and physical therapists.
Dear Life in Balance Folks, Aug 14, 2015 I just had my final physical therapy appointment for shoulder therapy with Megan Sherman. My post rotator cuff surgery PT began on August 15, 2014 and continued weekly up to today.
I comment in praise of Megan, who has impressed me with her great expertise technically and her wonderful, highly effective, kindly, knowledgeable persona. She is an excellent teacher and a clear communicator. Her mixture of hands on therapy and guided weight lifting/stretching exercises done in her presence, with critique and assigned as homework, accompanied by printed step by step figure drawings have worked wonders for my right shoulder.
Megan's alternately palpating the muscles and pushing me to do her printed exercises while she observed and critiqued, have been extremely effective. My strengh and mobility have returned to near normal, to the point that I can be discharged to continue progressing on my own at home.
As a plaintiff's personal injury lawyer and mediator for 52 years, I have had numerous clients treat with physical and massage therapists and have gone to many of them myself. It is my opinion that Megan Sherman is functioning at the very top of her profession and I feel honored to have spent a year in treatment with her. I have referred a number of people to her and will continue to do so.
Sincerely, --R.S. Professional and friendly people with a well-equipped facility. --W.S.
This clinic is unlike any other I have been to -- and I have been to many!! I would call the atmosphere and services here as relaxed professional. My therapist keeps to schedule and to her goal for my body. I am learning from her. --L.L.
The service is very good and very people oriented from the receptionist to my therapist..My therapist is excellent. She has helped me to understand what I need to do with my problem. She gave me the written note about what I should to daily. Every section was the new thing to do. She listened and answered my concerns. I would like to recommend Life in Balance Physical Therapy and Pilates to friends and business associates. --N.B.
Very helpful, very kind! Cozy office. Great experience! --K.W.
Efficiency, knowledgeable on hands manipulation. Best therapy I've ever received. --T.H.
The therapists at Life in Balance do so much more than in normal PT offices do. They consider the whole body and how everything works together and it's amazing how they help their clients heal. They are with each client the entire 50 minutes and their vast knowledge is apparent. It was a very lucky day that I started going there. I have suffered from a back injury for the last 11 years and this is the only treatment I've had that has effectively helped. --J.T.
I want to express my appreciation for Tricia Yost. I didn't want to give up running, but the back of one leg started to hurt. During our first sessions, Tricia watched my movement patterns and determined that my left femur was rotated and causing severe ham string pain. After adjusting and stretching and assigning me some home exercises, the pain is gone. This is a big relief because I only recently started running. Tricia's careful and knowledgeable observation really made a big difference for me. I would highly recommend her. --M.L.
Prior to coming to Life in Balance, I had never been to Physical Therapy. Based on experiences of others, I expected to be given an exercise routine to follow, and not much more. The therapists there were so thorough when they evaluated my car accident injury, and were able to pinpoint specific issues happening in my body from observing the way I moved, and using physical touch. Each appointment started with at least 20 minutes of bodywork, followed by exercises. I attribute the final healing of my injury to the treatment I received here. I am thoroughly impressed with the knowledge and care that Tricia and Jenn brought to my treatment sessions. --S.C.
