Knowing insurance coverage, benefits, and costs is the patient's responsibility. We recommend you call your insurance for the specifics of your plan.

Life in Balance does provide a courtesy insurance verification, and we do our best to provide accurate information. However, this is not always possible, as insurance websites and policies are not always accurate and up-to-date when we do our benefits checks. This is something that we have no control over.

We also accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

​Do I need a doctor's referral/prescription for physical therapy?

​Patients and clients are not required to have a doctor's referral in order to receive physical therapy services in the State of Washington.

Some insurance companies will pay for an initial evaluation and/or treatment and some won't. Please check with your insurance company to find out if a Dr's referral is required for your plan.

Please know we absolutely need a referral if you are insured through Medicare and any Worker's Compensation plans.

Additionally, you are not required to go to the clinic the doctor recommends. You get to chose your care. Your referral is valid with all PT clinics.
